Iran set to sign non-aggression treaty with regional countries: Official

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran's Parliament Speaker Advisor on International Affairs Hossein Sheikholeslam said Iran is ready to sign non-aggression treaty with all regional countries.

Stressing the US failure to support its regional allies, he said, "we are ready to sign a non-aggression treaty in case that Iran will not be invaded from their territories, so it is natural that Iran will annihilate source of warmongering if it is attacked from their territories."

The US presence in the region seeks plundering oil reserves and resources of the Middle East and dominating the world, he told al-Alam News Network.

Sheikholeslam added the US creates crises to obtain its goals, it speaks about dangers of Iran's missile system and nuclear issue to make its arms market flourishing for regional countries.

He then said White House policies' have not changed after the US President Barack Obama came to power and added Washington's approach is based on oil and taking it under control.

The Iranian official also added regional countries need to learn lesson from the past, rely on their capabilities and preserve their interests.
